YUMI MASHIKI
Yumi Mashiki is a classically trained media composer and arranger based in London. She creates cinematic, emotionally distinctive music that blends contemporary classical composition with modern electronics for film, advertising and visual storytelling.
Her TV advertising credits include campaigns for Škoda, Wall's Cornetto and Knorr Red Wine Stock Pot.
Her latest EP, Short Scores, was released by A4PM/BMG Production Music in summer 2026. Inspired by the fleeting beauty of nature and everyday life, the collection embraces the organic, the magical, and perhaps the imperfect—moments that are often overlooked, yet worth cherishing. The music features cello and violin performances by Brookspeare Music.
Her compositions for production music albums have been featured across the BBC, ITV, Netflix and other major platforms. These compositions include experimental arrangements of classical repertoire and the fusion of traditional Japanese instruments with electronic sound design.
She’s a BAFTA Connect member.
